My YouTube friend, FortuneCookie45LC, has a couple of videos on the LEE 105 grain SWC mold. Bullets come out of the mold @ .358 so they have many possibilities such as for 38 special reloads, and perhaps 9mm applications too....

Anybody out there casting this bullet?
Anybody out there casting & powder coating this bullet?
Thanks.....

Ive never gotten it to feed reliably in my Sig 226 but I know others have gotten it to work ok. Otherwise it works great as a high velocity load in my 92 carbine, very accurate.

I load them in 9mm but you have to seat them pretty deep to somewhat feed reliably. i also tend to use a softer lead mix and it deforms the sides a bit. i would post a picture but i haven't switched from photobucket yet. they seem to feed better through my norc 1911 over my glock 17.

Try imgbb. I've been using it since photobucket started charging and it works well for me.

Here was said picture. I have powder coated them for use in the 357mag at full loads of h110 and didn't have any leading. Once my new bench is setup i will get around to making more.

Do you have the original Glock barrel or an after market? If the original, do you get any leading or do you powder coat all your boolits for the G17?

Stock barrel with 20k or so through it. I shoot powder coated with zero issue and traditional lubed lead with minor build up (500 rounds before cleaning). I don't run very hot rounds through it though.

Cool! I intend to lube my future boolits with 45/45/10 and eventually try powder coating.

Thanks for the info.

i don't recall using that lube for my glock, I use ben's red for all traditional lubing. I add a bit more beeswax then he does because its a bit on the sticky side.

This bullet profile is amazingly accurate in both .38 spl and 9mm. X-Metal commercially produces them complete with Hi-Tek coating.

I cast with a straight ww. I've had better luck feeding in my TNW than my 1911. But these are very accurate at longer range
