Pretty close. I did manage to find some pics and, get confirmation of manufacture.
It was/is a (stolen from an auction site's listing):
This 10ga. single shot shotgun and was manufactured by “Echasa”-Echave, Arizmendi y Cia SA Eibar Spain and is so marked on the barrel. The company was founded about 1911 as Echave y Arizmendi, and their main focus was the manufacture of automatic pistols. The company folded in 1979 after implementation of the 1968 Gun Control Act in the USA curtailed most of their export business to the U.S.

The above info was stolen from a listing and, also has some pictures...similar gun except I think the 16G pictured has a shorter barrel and, the 10G I saw didn't have sling swivels. Same engraving (stamping?) on the sides of the reciever. Also, in the pictures at that auction, the gun has a "basket-weave" butplate...the one I saw had a big cushiony one installed...wonder why?(insert giggle)
A cool thing in it's own right, not really something I have a use for...plus I think the guy was asking too much. Well, too much for me anyway.
Thanks all!
