Who doesn't love "I need a gun identified but have no pic" threads?

I need a 10G identified (and additional info...) without a picture.

Single shot 10G. Made in Spain. (obscured...Bizmendi (???) Y CIA SA-Eibar made in Spain Nitro...

Coloured-case. Engraved...

Any info and, insights appreciated

lol...

I'm not sure I want one much less "it"...

Long story short (or moderately long...)
A buddy was by and, was here perusing the EE. Saw a WTB ad for a single shot 10G....I replied. Original ad placer had found one but, didn't update his ad. In the meantime buddy procured one from a guy (who knows a guy who's sister's cat's previous owners neighbour had an ex who....you get it) who may have an interest in one of my .22's....I have an abundance of .22's so, that's where it started...Now, I've heard of this 10G and, actually saw it, I wanna know more about it.

Not building hype for an EE placement, just curious....

The more I know of anything, the less I know of everything!

Pretty close. I did manage to find some pics and, get confirmation of manufacture.

It was/is a (stolen from an auction site's listing):
This 10ga. single shot shotgun and was manufactured by “Echasa”-Echave, Arizmendi y Cia SA Eibar Spain and is so marked on the barrel. The company was founded about 1911 as Echave y Arizmendi, and their main focus was the manufacture of automatic pistols. The company folded in 1979 after implementation of the 1968 Gun Control Act in the USA curtailed most of their export business to the U.S.

The above info was stolen from a listing and, also has some pictures...similar gun except I think the 16G pictured has a shorter barrel and, the 10G I saw didn't have sling swivels. Same engraving (stamping?) on the sides of the reciever. Also, in the pictures at that auction, the gun has a "basket-weave" butplate...the one I saw had a big cushiony one installed...wonder why?(insert giggle)

A cool thing in it's own right, not really something I have a use for...plus I think the guy was asking too much. Well, too much for me anyway.

Thanks all!
