11.5" and 14.5" AR Barrels

Is it o.k to share my opinion.
I have shot the 11.5" but I have not done any 'testing' as I do not own one.

It shoots where I point it...my 16" Stag was not as good. Shot like my P.O.F.

I have heard good things about the manufacture of this barrel. I would not hesitate to buy one......maybe they will go on sale again :)

I have had one now for about 4 months.I like it alot.
I have not done realy any accuracy testing but i am hitting orange clays at 100 yrds.
IMHO it is well worth the coin.

So, these 11.5's are even 'better' than the 10.5" LMT's?

ie. parked under the FSB, F marked FSB, and appear to have taper pins.

any plans for a 16' barrel?

Not at this point... too many other projects on the go and there are quite a few 16" barrels available these days that are pretty top-notch.

If there was enough demand we would consider it but honestly we just don't get many people asking us for 16" barrels these days

I just got the last 11.5... thanks alot.
I cannot comment on accuracy yet as I am still missing half my build at this point but it looks really good. Feels heavier than I would have guessed.

I'd like to get one too, but I'm curious, would it not be more cost effective to buy an established brand of 11.5" barrels than to have one built? I'd like to see a sub $300 solution come up some time... . I suspect that importing 11.5"/14.5" barrels is far easier than importing a complete AR or is Uncle Sam slowing imports of this type as well? Just wondering.

Not in my experience, I was trying to find a 14.5" barrel for my AR build for the longest time. The available choices were 1) old barrels 2) Canadian made barrels 3) Sabre Defense UK barrels.

Rifles with barrels under 16 inches (short barreled rifles) are regulated in the US, and apparently the US State department hasn't been approving export of SBR's OR SBR barrels.

I'd buy one with a longer gas system. No longer really makes sense to have a gas system that only comes half way up the barrel (if we're making barrels anyway...)

For those questioning the 11.5" Questar barrels, I've had one of their 11.5 complete uppers since last September. No issues, and never a stoppage. Although I haven't rested it and done accuracy comparisons, I haven't noticed any accuracy differences from my 2 LMT uppers.
