I bought a 4 inch Smith and Wesson 686 back in the days when the CFC were telling us that we'd probably have to change to a longer barrel in the near future or turn it in. I made the foolish mistake of changing my 4 inch barrel to a 6 inch before the first deadline so now I'm not grandfathered for 12.6. I will never forgive the liberals for that one...
I've never really loved the 6 inch and would like to go back to something shorter. Does anyone know if I can buy a barrel anywhere that is 110mm so my gun would still be restricted but remiscent of the good old 4 inch days? I know that they never were made in this barrel length but I'm wondering if maybe there's a smith out there that sells them custom.
