1100 AR-style telescoping stock?

o.k., i may end up looking the fool here, but...
has anyone ever tried to fit an AR-style collapsable stock to a Remington 1100?
i know, the return spring tube has a downward angle, but what about [gently] bending it upwards, parrallel to the barrel? i realize it would take some mods, if it's even possible. just wondering if anyone has ever given it a go?

BadBoyBeeson (S&J Hardware) had a version that works well.
Moved the recoil springs from the but to the forend IIRC

wow, that's cool. a little more than i figured on spending though... $2Gs! yikes! might hafta stick with choate cheapie
