12.5" Grizzly barrel and 3.5" shells

I recently was lucky enough to pick up a 12.5" DA Grizzly. I like it but I was wondering if I could give it some extra oomph. Would the barrel rupture in my face if I swapped the receiver for a 3.5" Remington 870 receiver? I searched it but couldn't find an answer.
 
The barrel is only chambered for 3in shells so a 3.5 in receiver doesn't really change anything. As far as shooting larger shells, but as far as I know the barrel will fit on the receiver
 
Yea that's not a good combo.


However if you really want something like that, I think your best bet is to get Dlask Arms in Vancouver to take a 3.5" Remington and make you a short barrel with a 3.5" chamber.

I just know that 3.5" out of a short light 870 would be more pain than I'd wanna endure! Put some 3" magnum slugs through a 12" shorty last year, shoulder hurt for a few days. Just 10 rounds worth too!
