I really like my 12.5" Grizzly but I am having a problem with the rear sight set up. The four holes it came with to mount the rear ghost ring sight are way off center. With the naked eye the screw holes appear to be about a millimeter to the right. I could not get enough windage out of the factory ghost ring sight to zero it so I put a Vortex Sparc red dot on it.

This works except the red dot sits so high you can't get a good cheek weld and you have to turn it on every time you want use which makes it very slow to aim and shoot, not a good bear defense gun :). Also the optic sits so far off center that the front sight is a huge distraction because it has to be out of alignment when you aim.

Does some one make an after market rear sight that is cheap, would fit on a Grizzly, and has a lot of windage adjustment? My M14 is having the same problem and I wan to put the Sparc on that. The fancy rear sights on these Chinese guns seems to be one of their weak points.

Just return it.

Conversely for bear defense you really don't need much more than a bead. If the shot is gonna happen there isn't going to be much time to line things up nicely.

Mis-alignment of either sights and/or pict. rails are definitely not uncommon for these Dominion Arms, and Norincos... heck even a Remington 870 ExpressTactical Ive had in the past... however it can be a heck of a nusiance though... drives me straight up the wall everytime I see crooked anything on firearms thats for sure...

But I agree with Grantmac, bead sights are my personal preference... "Bead is all ya need!"... :D

A borderline irate local gunworks owner guy made me shy away from Norcs and DA's for a while when I asked if he carried any. I was seriously shopping based on price though. I guess you may get what you pay for? Don't get me wrong, I still want one, I'm just prepared for the worst possible scenario now...

Most are fine. I've got a DA 12.5" barrel on my wingmaster, it fits fine and the bead is straight.
I wouldn't buy one from anywhere or anyone that I could return it to with shipping covered after a 3-day inspection however.
