12.5 inch barrel with pistol grip

Yeah, my take is, you can change the classification of a firearm, you have 30 days to notify the CFO of that change. You have however still changed the classification. In the case of a non restricted to restricted you cannot change it back..But who is going to know that you even changed it in the first place...

If laws were clear we would not need lawyers..so they must be kept as vague as possible.

yeah, just try explaining that to the local law, if you ever get challenged.

f:P: Yea lets just self impose non existing laws on us because someone is ignorant to the applicable legislation. :jerkit:

Furthermore, this and situations like it are why a lot of people carry around the firearm regulations with them to educate the officer in question.

By technicality, your only required to reregister within thirty days of changing your stock out, not sure if you could argue that to a cop but it is the law.

A little late in the post, I know, but....I have a Grizzly mag shotgun with the 18.5" barrel, fixed stock....I replace the fixed stock with a Knoxx spec ops, adjustable stock with pistol grip, and the over all length is over 26"....So, does this shotgun remain non-restricted, right?......

Then, I replace the 18.5" barrel with a factory, 12.5" barrel and the over all length (even with the stock fully collapsed) remains over 26"....Does this shotgun remain non-restricted, or does it become restricted?....Reading the regs tells me the shotgun is still non-restricted but I just want to be clear...BTW, Miramichi says it remains non-restricted.....

Remains non-restricted as it exceeds 26".
