12" `Factory Barrel' 597 VTR .22

Okay, so before I decide to pay money and thread the end of my 597 VTR
16" barrel and do modifications, does anyone know of a 12" barrel? Yes, there's plenty of Ruger 10/22 `factory' short barrels out there-but not Remy here in Canada as far as I know.

I heard that Dlask is thinking about making short barrels for the 597, not sure when they will hit the market though. Perhaps giving them a call and expressing interest will give them some motivation to do it sooner rather than later... I know I could use a short barrel for my 597!
