12 gauge Imperial slugs

I still have a few of these left. I believe they are the 7/8 oz slugs. I have found them to be very accurate slugs and very effective on game. I have had to drop a couple of bears with these as well as a couple of horses (injured horses) and one moose and they have been devastating. Worth? I wouldn't think that they are worth anything different than any other slug out there.

I know a few old timers who patrol gun shows just looking for Imperial slugs. According to them Cooey shotguns with swaged FULL chokes and Imperial slugs are a match made in heaven. Funny how the Imperial slug had a plastic rear insert long before the "new" Federal Power Ball slug loads came along.

Not much. Lotys of them for around $1/shell at gun shows. Keep them. Personally I take the shells out of those old boxes and use the boxes to store knick knacks around my man room/gun bench. Choke wrenches, key rings, trigger locks etc. Adds a feel of nostalgia and looks better then plastic trays from the dollar store.

The only ones I watch for are 28ga. You are bang on with the insert what's old is now so new space age design
Cheers

If you have a shotgun keep them and use them . or just display them in a locked cabinet with any other old ammo boxes you have .

I have boxes of em... lots of ssg and shot as well. I actually just bought a benelli nova tactical 14 to blast off off the old stuff I have to make room in my ammo safe, I didn't want to run it through my semi's or my good o/u's
