I have a friend wanting to sell his Sauer SXS 12 gauge shotgun, but have no idea what it's worth.

Are these shotguns one and the same as the SUHL's being sold by Trade Ex? Or were there other variants? I've never heard him refer to it as a SUHL.

I have not seen this shotgun in years, but remember it being in very good condition. I don't know much more at the moment.
 
Suhl is a place name, the town in Germany that has traditionally been the centre of German gunmaking. Much like Liege in Belgium or Ferlach is Austria.

Sauer is the name of a gunmaker. Long history and has made basic quality entry level guns and extremely high quality. And everything in between. To get any idea of what this particular gun is, pics are everything. Do as gunsaholic suggests.

Without pics, I'll say "Sold, for $100!"
