12 gauge to 410 shotgun adapters, experiences?

I just picked up a set of 12 gauge to 410 shotgun adapters off ebay for my SXS. Does anyone have any experience with them, how they function and what the pattern was like?

Are they "little skeeters" or "four tenners"
I have used both, and both work well.
The little skeeters are not extractor equipped, and are a bit of a pain to use.

I'm not expecting miracles with the patterning, just hoping to turn my Stoeger double defense into a small game getting if the opportunity arises:D
 
I hunt with a buddy who has one, not sure the brand name but he really likes it and uses it all the time. I really don't see the point, 12 gauge is cheaper than .410 even for light loads at close range. I prefer my single shot .410 for chickens. The gun is smaller and lighter.
