Just got my Warrior single shot 12 gauge from CA(corwin arms).....very impressed with it, very tight light gun actually cant believe they sell it for $124 bucks. the only fault I see on it is the plastic sling mount on the rear of the stock. The front one is a nice steel one well anchored?? I don't get it.

Very good shipping time and door delivery, came Canada Post.

I would recommend the gun for sure. Did not know what to expect when I ordered it, but very happy with it.

Weird,
I've got one in 20ga, pretty sure both sling swivels are metal? (I'm gonna double check when I get home)
Definitely an awesome buy, mine patterns well, and I see some grouse and rabbit in it's future.

Just got mine in the mail as well. Things are a bit stiff but I am sure a cleaning will take care of that. Awesome service from Corwin Arms. I will be replacing the rear sling mount with a filler stud. For my purpose no need for a sling.

In your opinions would this gun work for deer ..I'm interested in this gun but when there are so many others, what do you do ? I'm considering an Auto 5 or clone of an Auto 5 as well .

I fired it over the weekend, and ran really good....tight pattern and slugs were very accurate to 70 yds. I would try a deer with it no problem.

My trigger was stiff, so I did the gewgle-fu adjustment and still wernt appy wid it.
Took the trigger and hammer out and did some polishing.
Made a big difference, so much so that I plan to repeat the process.
Mine is a 20 gauge.
No regrets picking this gal up.

Make sure you remove the factory grease/ preserving oil. I had 5x misfires in -20 weather over Christmas when I first shot it.
The preserving oil was gumming up the firing pin. I'm sure in warmer weather it'll perform fine, just my experience when I first shot it.
I have'nt tried all the chokes yet either and the orig bead is still on it, the plastic coloured one. I also put Loctite on the trigger screw as mentioned.
But I agree with what the Op said about Corwin and their shipping, fantastic. I bought the 16" bbl for the compactness.

Has anyone given any thought to using one for turkey hunting. I like the idea of the small size to make it easier to move around in the thick stuff and for sneaking in with out getting hung up but am kinda worried it may be a little light to soak up turkey shells. Has anyone tried a few turkey shells at some paper yet?

Turkey loads don't kick any harder than high velocity slugs. I ran a box of 10 slugs through mine at the range on Tuesday, and both I and the shotgun survived to tell the tale.

That's good to hear. Thanks for the feed back.

I'm not going to say the recoil was exactly light - it did pack a whallop, but it's entirely survivable.

The biggest issue with recoil is usually stance. If you have that locked up, tight body stance that the tacti-fool crowd picked up from absorbing all that recoil from poodle shooters, it's going to hurt. If your stance is a bit more old school, you just kind of roll with it and it's fine.

I tried mine out on Thursday for the first time. It was -20 and it wouldn't cycle after the first round was fired. I think it was so cold that the packing oil gummed it up, as I never did a thorough cleaning on it. I cleaned it up good today, as well as honed the bolt carrier a bit since it felt like it was binding a bit. It should be good now, I'll try it out soon.
