ive got some 125 grain Noslers, and some IMR 4895 and a 30-06

Having a hard time finding load data for that caliber powder bullet combination.

Noslers page shows H4895 but no IMR4895

from what I could gather 48 grains is a good safe starting point. I have seen some data that said 53 was a max load, and other data that said 53 was a starting load and 57 grains was a max load.

should I start lower than 48?

Anyone with experience with the 125 grainers in 30-06 with IMR 4895 out there?

cheers, John

Hodgeon's data for IMR 4895 with 125gr bullets in a .30-06 shows a starting load of 53 grains in a Winchester case over a WLR primer, but it's a Sierra bullet they used at 3.150" COAL. I would err on this side of caution here in case pressures spike suddenly since there are conflicting sources.

thanks for the input guys! I think im gonna start at 46 or 47 and work up to 52 making about 5 of each charge and go test and see what the groups look like. cheers, John
