12FV or H&R Ultra Varmint

i want to buy a varmint rifle in 22-250 and i've narrowed it down to these 2 guns the Savage 12 FV, and the H&R ultra varmint. The price on the H&R really catches my eyes, but i want to know if you think the savage is worth the extra cash.

If accuracy is what you want buy the Savage if not buy the H&R.

both are ugly, savage more likely will be accurate, go with the Savage

You can't lose with the Savage. I have 3 and they all shoot <1" right out of the box.

In that price range the Savage is a lot more bang for your buck.... You only get what you pay for with the H&R and just barely.

H&R guns get a bad name by the elitists, 'cause in their minds inexpensive = crap. H&R's are made by Marlin, and are of very high quality (well, the recent ones anyway). They're inexpensive primarily due to the simple nature of the action, and the simplicity of its manufacture.

Still, I think you'll find the Savage to be the more accurate of the two.

Im assuming thats taking a few breaks to let the barrel cool.
