12g shotgun shells

Afternoon,

Is there an (affordable) 12 gauge shotgun shell shortage right now? My wife picked up some target loads (Challenger) and noticed that the shelves were bereft of anything beyond that. I looked online and sure enough "out of stock" labels on most of the non-target load stuff.

In my defense, my 'look' online is to find the phone number of the local fish and game stores or, failing that, Canadian tire

Yes target loads have suffered the same fate as all other ammo in the past 4 years or so, we buy through the gun club and what we paid $65 / flat for 4 years ago we now pay $120 / flat when we buy in bulk, by bulk I mean a pallet at a time. If you buy retail a flat at a time you could expect top pay in the range of $135 to $150 per flat depending on where you shop.
