Hi everyone,

I've been looking around and the best deal I've been able to find is canada ammo, with the dominion brand stuff. I wanna buy a case(250 shots) of 00 buck. Is this the best deal around? just don't want to buy it and then find i should have bulk ordered something else! thanks :)

Its 149 for the dominion I believe which is not bad

I recently bought 175 rounds of Federal 00 in an ammo can for $119 at Reliable ... the ammo can is pretty nice

Planning on quelling a riot in a phone booth? Have you tried a box of the Dominion brand stuff in your shotgun? Shotguns are no different than any other firearm when it comes to the ammo they'll both shoot well and cycling a semi.
Your local gun shop can order anything you want in any quantity you want. Buying ammo on-line gets expensive quickly due to shipping costs. Said costs are not set by the retailer.

I appreciate the replies so far guys!

yes it's 149 for the dominion stuff. I heard it was the slugs which didn't cycle though the semis (M4 specifically) but the buck did cycle fine. according to the thread over in the canammo part of the forum. Mine is a pump mossy 500 so I am not as concerned.

spending an extra 50 to get Canadian made is quite tempting.

there are so many sites, it's a tad overwhelming to just go and check every single one. figured I'd ask you guys and see where you buy. I will check out that site! thx :)

I'd expect this ammo to last me quite a while. Will one brand do better against time over the others?

Not quite sunray, lots of semi auto shotguns have problems cycling 2 3/4 shells of certain brands, loads & depending on the shotgun itself. As stated above Federal is well known to cycle better.... or just go with 3"

I have a Mossberg 500 myself, its taken anything I've put in it so far... I just bought some 3" Magnum Slugs and buckshot, can wait to run that through.

As for longevity, I wouldn't worry about it unless you're going to store for a very very long time... but... keeping all your ammo cool and dry is a good rule of thumb

Challenger makes a great product. The one Ammo Supply has are full recoil.

The Dominion stuff is reduced recoil, so be conscious of that as well.

I have a case of the Dominion Slugs. Also reduced recoil. Breeze to shoot. Pump action use strictly for me personally though.

I also currently have a 250 case of reduced recoil S&B rifled slugs from Wanstalls. They were on sale for $175 I think, but now they are $230. These are 2 5/8 size. A bit odd for us, but common for a Euro manufacturer apparently.
Its good stuff, but with the reduced recoil you go through them FAST! Much like the Dominion. Maybe a little too fast actually.

00 buck is like what...? $6 for 5 shells in stores?
So with the Challenger bulk deal you are saving around 40 cents a round. (.80c/shell vs $1.20/shell)

Buy two cases of the Dominion from Canada Ammo for $300 (500 rounds) and you get free shipping. Another consideration...
