Is there much of a market for once-shot 12ga shell hulls? The club I belong to has asked me to see if there is much of a market as they currently throw out a bucketload of cases. Is there a brand that is better to reload or does just about anything work?

The only cases that have any market are the Win AA's, Rem STS, or the Federal Gold Medal (high brass). Even then, you can expect .03 or .04 each for them. To get the .04 they must be in premium condition. I know we sell them for $5 per target box full of unsorted. Reloading is getting less appealing at $50 per bag of shot.

Edit: Yah, the Nitro's are great hulls as well.

YMMV.

It may be worth a $50 donation to your club, and just haul them to the dump. ;)

Well, the whole idea was to maybe generate some cash for the club but also to take something out of the landfill. Far as I know you can still use lead shot for upland birds and wabbits as well as trap/skeet so why is nobody taking these? Seems like such a waste.
