I have a Ultra Slug Gun and the only slug i can find it reallly likes is the Remington Buck Hammers 3inch, only problem is i cant find any around here, just wondering if anyone has access to any or knows where i can order some from???? Thanks.

is the ultra slug gun not a fuly rifles barreled shoot gun .if it is you should be shooting sabots from it not buck ham, mers .thy are meant for smooth barrels .let me know what barrel you have and i can sugest soem good slugs as i have treyed many kinds over the last 20 years DUTCH

yes it is a fully rifled barrel, but i have tried just about all the sabots i can find, everything from fast shooting accutips to Partion Golds, Copper Solids, Sst's, None of which would shoot. A buddy from the states who has the same gun, shoots the buckhammmers, said he had the same prob. i did, and they are the only ones that will shoot. i tried 3 of them, and made one big ragged hole at 60 yards. But i am open for opinions. thanks

buckhammer are really not that accurate.. Try some sabot slug from winchester, 2000fps plastic tip 300gr. The best I could try(but its 5$ per rounds).

Maybe its time to redo your test..

Every gun is different. My older M37 Ithaca Featherlight 20 gauge, with the spare fully rifled barrel, shoots the Winchester Partition Golds like it was made for them.

You may want to invest in a lyman 525 gr mold. I use them in my Mossy 930 and they are accurate. If you can find a caster in your area you may be able to get them to make some for you.

okay you can shoot the buckhammers from your frifled barrel the only thing to watch is for lead build up in the groves this can be cleaned with a brass bursh and solvent .i would try some Brenneke rottweil slugs for rifled barrels thy shot very well from my gun .also what are you using fop sights . a scope will give you much better groups then say a red dot or even open sights .another slug to try are the dual bond from winchester or the xp3 well trying to get your gun sighted in stick to 2.75 inch shells as recoil will coues a flinch for most guys when shooting of a bench .let us know how you are making out as i have never had a slug gun that i couls not get to shot after farting around with them for a bit some just take longer then others DUTCH

Yeah, I was told to make sure to clean well while using lead slugs. i am in New Brunswick and the big problem is getting slugs, no gun shops carry too many sabots cause no one uses a slug gun much. Therefore i pretty much have to order everything, and it gets expensive. I am using a scope, nikon 3-9 on my Ultra Slug Hunter.
Although i do find the Ultra Slug Gun kicks it doesnt bother me much, so thast why i have been using the 3 inch Buckhammers.
I havnt tried the xp3's and i guess i have lied, i havnt tried the SST's, and i guess they are spose to shoot alright out of these guns, Now it is just to find some......
Thanks for the help....Keep it coming!!!

Buckhammers performed well for me and other guys I know. Not sure if Remmy is still making them. Maybe try Winchester BRI if your barrel likes slower slugs.

I find the Buckhammers very accurate in my 1100 Remmy with the 20" smoothbore and a rifled tube. Unfortunatly, I don't think Remington makes them anymore. I bought 3 or 4, 5 round boxes on a trip to Ontario this summer. They were older stock at a small gunsmithing shop.

M.T. Chambers makes and sells all manner of slugs and round ball for the shotguns, for instance; around ball for inside a shotcup and a round ball for without a shotcup, slugs for inside shotcups etc.

Like i said, i tried just about alll the sabots out there, and cant find anything, NEAR as accurate as the Buckhammers. They are made for Rifled barrels according to the Website, With a Stabilzer, on the end. But i just Cant find any, know one can help me anywhere???

I tried out the 3" 12ga Buckhammers in my rifle barreled Mossberg 835. They worked pretty good. While Remington still makes them, I believe that the company is more focused on their newer sabot rounds and may have put the Buckhammer on the back burner.
