Well...Waterfowl season is upon us and I'm itching to get my new 12ga SXS out into the field. When I bought this SXS (listed in the EE) one of the many features that I liked about it was that it has a 3" chamber and interchangeable chokes. I've shot geese and ducks for years now with 12ga autoloaders, pumps & single action break opens but have always used 2-3/4" shells and since 2-3/4" shells are so readily avaliable I never bothered to load any of my own ammunition. Now that I'm setup with a 3" shotgun and since 3" shotgun shells are a pain in the butt for me get (about a 1 hour drive) I was thinking that its time to dust off the old MEC loader and return her to service. The problem is that I don't have any 3" load data. Is anyone willing to share their 3" 12ga shotgun shell load data using steel shot - probably in the #2 - BB size?
Thanks y'all!
