12ga stock on a 20 ga receiver Winchester 120 ?

Wondering if anyone knows whether or not a 12ga stock will bolt onto a 20 ga receiver on a winchester 120/1300 ?

Yes. The 20 gauge is made on a 12 gauge frame.

They are not scaled down.

Next question is wether or not the slide and bolt carriers are also interchangeable ?

I don't believe so. Looking at mine they are the same. The 20 has a smaller throat price at the front of tube. I don't feel like pulling them apart right now but I do believe the bolts are the same. You know what I got nothing better to do I'll go check.

Edit: So I pulled them apart. Physically the receiver and mag tubes are the same. Trigger groups have different tabs at the front. Bolts are physically the same size but the bolt heads are different. The outside of the chamber on the 20 is machined smaller. And like I said the throat on the Mag tube is smaller on the 20.

Thank you so much for the pics and investigation into this !!! I have a couple 12 ga winchesters and have had a 20 ga in the past but didn't own it very long or pay attention to actual dimensions. Now I know !!!
