Yeah, you guessed it. I lost the bolt holding the original stock onto my 20 year old 8 shot Defender 1300.

Actually, I had replaced the stock with a folder when I bought it, and the long screw has gone AWOL in the meantime.

Now, I want to replace the folding stock with a fixed fibreglass stock and need the original bolt!

Can anyone suggest a source for a replacement? Or is anyone willing to part with their unused bolt?

Pretty please?

take the bolt thats on the folding stock to any hardwear store have the threads match to a bolt long enought to fit the stock you want to put on now :)

No, that would be too easy.

Yeah, I'll try that. But I'm afraid I'll get lost in the big box stores around here...hellooooooo...anybody work here?

:D

I'll give your suggestion a shot before making a long distance call.

Thanks.

it's a standard hex bolt- just get out a tap and die and replace it- no big deal-

Yeah, but that's a little beyond my talents.

I've been to Home Depot and established that yes, it's a standard 5/16 hex bolt, though it needs to be about 7 inches long. And yes, they don't have anything that long (4" was max, though threads matched). I'll try someplace else.

The "butt stock bolt" is $5 from Winchester. What are the odds they will ship to Canada without any hassles?

LOL - the instructions from Winchester say to go to Western Gun Parts if you're in Canada. Thanks 667! :D
