So I made up a test pattern today to play with my mil dot scopes a little. I just wanted to make sure of the magnification for true mil dots with them and all that.
I made a big "I" measuring 14.4 inches and then filled it in with 3.6 inch hash marks. For the most part all my results were very conclusive.....until I tried the Leupold clone. The first dot is about 4 inches, the second is about 8, and here's the kicker, the fourth dot is right on the money at 14.4.
So am I doing something wrong? is the scope faulty? are they all like this? is there another explanation?
