You lucky suma#####!! That is a steal. Wish I'd bought one of these when they were easily available.
14" Mossbergs are still made at the factory, the problem is that the US State Dept hasn't approved export for a few years now.
Adding a newly manufactured 14" barrel isn't currently possible for a couple of reasons;
-no one is making them
-the mag tube is too long and would have to be shortened, thus adding to the expense
-500's or 590's? You've split the market in half before you even started.
It's a shame that Mossbergs are no longer made in Canada, maybe then it would have been possible for them to keep cranking out short barrels for the Canadian market. Wonder what happened to the machinery?

I don't know where $300 - $400 came from (US perhaps) b/c I paid ~ $700 for my NIB Mossberg 590 w/ 14" factory bbl (not the A1 version), and that was from a local gun shop several years ago when they were still being imported.
