14" rem or norinco barrel

So you can't cut down a barrel to 14" ,but you can buy one? If you buy a norinco shotgun that has no barrel and has been registrared for a 14" barrel ,why can't you make your own,you can make your own firearm?

ya cant do that but any remington barrle will fit on it

My understanding is,that if it comes from the factory as a 8.5", 12" or 16" or whatever, and is stamped from the factory as such,it is legal.If you cut down your barrel to less than 18.5" , it is illegal.

I think the length is stamped on the shorter barrels?
I was going to cut one down last year untill I realized it was illegal.

I just had a look at a Norinco (rem copy) with a 14" barrel that the neighbor has there is nothing on the barrel stating the length of the barrel. So, its a VERY, VERY,VERY GRAY AREA????

Its a stupid law anyway. There is no difference between one that is cut and a factory one.
