Finished the .22 PSG project, so I moved on to the HP9. I wanted to see how cheaply I could actually build a tactical looking shotty. Parts are all from the EE or Ebay, and adapter fabrication was all done by me :) . I put a few hundred loads through it, and it looks like it's going to stand up fine. The only potentially weak pointmay be the tubes for the collapsing stock, but if the need arises it will be very easy to replace them with a tougher set. All in all, considering the entire gun costs less than just a sage stock it is a fun build.
The only thing left to do would be to drill and tap a couple of holes in the reciever for extra rigidity in the mount....but the gun probably wont stay
this way (or mine...one or the other) for long...allready considering trying to do a spaz-12 clone.

What kind of (airsoft?) stock is that?
I wouldn't mind using something like that for a .22 project and I'd prefer something lighter then a Sage.
I bought a used Sage for $100.00 but it's a little heavier duty then I need.....

Like I said, it was for FUN. If the Zombies really do attack, I'll break out the Wingmaster (with the S&J sling adapter of course ;) ) and do battle with that.
Hell, I took the HP9 on trade, and what else is there to do with a $300 shotgun but take it to the next level? And yes, the Doc optic is fake too:p

It actually shoots very well! Better than I expected anyway...as is the knock-off stock. Upon close inspection I became very impressed with the quality of this stock....seriously!

It is all steel. Not pot metal or aluminum...actual steel. And judging by the effort it took to cut through it with the wheel, hardened steel at that. The buttpad is fantastic! I would put that pad on every rifle I owned if I could get it. Not sure how it is made, but it is heavy rubber with what feels like a "gel-pack" in the center. Even the 3" slugs posed no hurt to the shoulder.

I don't expect anything but flack from some of the gear snobs, but I really don't give a crap :D This build was all about throwing as much knock-off crap together as I could and beating the hell out of it to see how long it would last...in other words? FUN! :dancingbanana:

No problem...This was just a project to see what I could do with 500 in parts and my new mill....I'm not offended if someone calls it crap, cause it is crap :D.I can see where you are coming from: What does piss me off is "I'll buy airsoft and try and convince you that it's just as good as the real thing"....THOSE guys need a kick in the nuts IMO. :D
 
hey Wrong way, great post..especially after the post where you slagged me and demanded to know how much cake I had spent on gear in the last year..glad your 75 trading rater is providing you with many toys...all plastic.

Why not actually buy something functional that you can shoot?

Endorsing airsoft on real firearms is gonna get some newbie injured or killed who doesnt know any better

I didn't slag you, I simply responded and then asked you the same question. I then realized that our respective 75 & 2 trader ratings pretty much answered the question. If your in a glass house you really shouldn't throw stones y'know :)

And as far as my trader rating goes, Please take a second to PM the people who left me feedback ...then you can see what I bought. The airsoft crap came from ebay (as stated in the thread), the 10k on guns was spent mostly here. But hey, thanks for coming out :rolleyes:

Now..can we go back to this thread being FUN again? Seriously, I know I'm not the only one who has used knock off stuff...but I'm pretty sure I'm the first to brag about it! Who else? :D

Trader rating? Being as you only seem to buy used stuff..which is fine, perhaps you should realize that some of us others buy new stuff...dont shop on CGN and actually get out of the house and go to retail gun stores. I wont say anymore as your libel to get all sensitive like last time.

Why is everyone picking on Wrong Way for doing something he enjoys? Personally, I think it looks great, and if it shoots and stays together, who cares if its plastic, fibreglass or floam?? (you know, floam is making a comeback!)

Just because someone enjoys customising their gear, or treating firearms like "toys", what is it to you? Its someone who is enjoying his sport and and is a part of our community. Some of us dont have lots of liquid assets to drop into brand name components or parts, and we shouldnt be excluded from the sport.

...and FYI, im sure it would still feel the same if a zombie were shot with this "toy" as opposed to a fully custom top of the line tactical 12ga.

ps. the grip looks a bit cheap...if you could mod up a hogue it would look mint!

I think it goes back to somebody building a M203 launcher using airsoft bits...somebody got badily injured. The problem with mixing airsoft #### on real firearms is that a newbie couldnt tell the difference by casually looking at it. Some airsoft is well finished and its weakness isnt apparent in its simple cast technology until heat or pressure is applied.

Not saying the poster would or even implying it..but say somebody mixed airsoft into a real gun and sold it as is? without informing the buyer?
