Just wondering if anyone is using this bullet in their Shadow and what OAL you are using. I was using 1.115" and they were flipping up during feeding and jamming the gun up. I jst loaded some to 1.100" to try. Any tips?

AIM 147 over 3.0 - 3.2 grs of Titegroup at 1.100 OAL. Even when the rounds were a little long, I didn't get failures like you describe. If they're still doing it at 1.100 I'd suspect the mag.

i load 147gr CMJ-FP frontier bullets at 1.100, no problems at all, it feed and eject just fine, i'd like to go longer a bit, but the shadow chamber is kind of tight compared to lets say my G17....i know some load even shorter but i think as long the bullet tip doesn't touch the riffling and the mags feed ok, going shorter than 1.100 isn't required.

i use a 147grs CMJ-FP at 1.100 OAL and a load of 4.0grs of VV340 for my shadow.

my G17 get the same amount of powder but i use a 1.130 OAL for it combined with a 147 CMJ-FP too...

Thanks for the feedback. Hopefully 1.100 will do it. As far as the mags, they are all new and I check the lips regularly to watch for them opening up. Thanks!

Have you measured them or visually inspected? Typically, the problem you are describing is related to release point, as the mags tend to relax when repeatedly dropped.
It's not a difficult fix.

relliot, I measure them, I am fanatical and meticulous when it comes to keeping things in order. I am wondering if maybe I should polish the lips, I get exactly what you are saying, it might be the release point where the round begins to flip up. There doesn't appear to be any burrs, but the edges are sharp- these 10 round CZ mags sheetmetal is pretty light and there isn't much of a "landing" on the edges. I will go over each and every one of them and pay more attention if it might be a particular mag that is giving me trouble. As far as the slidestop, I do have the new one, and an original that is cut the same way as the new ones. Gotta get packed up, match this morning in Gagetown!
