Hi, i just wanted to start off by stating that i spent the last hour and a half researching this question and i'd prefer it if those kind enough to reply would just answer the question and not throw in their 2 cents worth of "there's already a thread on this/why aren't you as well versed on this as myself?." Here goes, since the OAL on a 15" Grizzly is 24.5" with a pistol grip only, what will the length be with a Butler Creek metal folder? If it is under 660mm is there spacers/sling plates available for the difference? Just wanted to find this out before i bought one. Thanks in advance, Cedric

I would say no, that there is no spacers. But if you make your own spacers, can't be that hard to do, and if folded you are still above the legal length, shouldn't be a problem, just be prepared to justify it and prove your case in court. The Grizzly with the pistol grip only is below the non-restricted length is it not? Couldn't be that hard to make a spacer or two, in my guestimation, with some patience.

With the butler creek folder, there is a block thats used to hold the stock/folding mechanism in place that protrudes an inch and a half off of the back of the pistol grip which is also roughly an inch and a half long
With the pistol grip and the block you gain roughly 3.5 inches.
By my rough mock up and horrid math skills,(pistolgrip + block + receiver + 15 = 28) it looks like you might be legal with the stock folded.

If I may note however, my butler creek folder wobbled horribly up and down, and when the set screw was tightened enough to stop the wobble, the stock would no longer fold.
Just my experience with the stock, hope this helps !

What I did with my 15" Grizzly is just cut the stock down and reattach the butt-pad. It's 30" OAL now and it feels comfortable, and I you can still aim with it. The stock that it comes with is way too long.

Get a breaching attachment for the muzzle.
Mine added about 2". I needed 3/4" with a pistol grip installed on my magfed 15" grizz.

Wait... i remember reading something about OAL not mattering if it were changed by replacing parts , as long as nothing was cut? Only issue is determining whether or not it is a pistol.

I think it was canada ammo that mentioned this, anyone know what thread this was said in , or if this is accurate?

I was pondering buying one of these mag fed's, and installing a dlask 6.5" or something (have no clue if it'll work), or if this is legally possible?
