15 vs 20 moa base

It's not that it's being overcomplicated.
It's just more complicated than the average novice or head in the sand ignorant person might assume.

Here are some criteria that distinguish such “Unconscious Incompetence”:

• The person is not aware of the existence or relevance of the skill area.
• The person is not aware that they have a particular deficiency in the area concerned.
• The person might deny the relevance or usefulness of the new skill.
• No development or learning of the skill can occur because the person lacks awareness of their inability.

Next stage is where individuals move toward “Conscious Inccompetence” and admit to themselves there is more to learn and begin to see the value of said learning.

Guess I'm in the ignorant column, along with some people I shoot with (one being one of the foremost experts in ELR shooting). Or maybe our gear is more reliable than those utilized by F-Class people (which is a more plausible solution). All I know is that between some of the people in my shooting group, we have had success taking short action calibers beyond 2,000 yards and big bores from 3,000-4,000+ yards. And not just random hits, but predictable and repeatable results over multiple days and wind conditions.

But I guess that's just anecdotal evidence and a small sample size. Perhaps we're incompetent and ignorant, and just repeatably lucky. All I know is that it works for us.

I'm going to leave this thread at that. I have no desire to compare shooting resumes, or bump chests with you F-Classers. I hope you guys get your erector spring issues sorted out for your 1,000 yard shoots and world championships.
