Does anyone think that's too light of a bullet? I was going to try some over top of h4350. I should get around 3200fps or thereabouts. I don't see the need to go up to 180s in a mono bullet. Has anybody used these on moose?

I've used this that bullet successfully on moose and elk in a 300 win I found 7828
To give me the best load
Cheers Tony

Good to hear thanks. I do have some 7828 on hand but I want something temp insensitive. The weather in moose season here could be +30 or -30. I've hunted them in both. Might try 7977 too but I read h4350 is one of the most temp stable and I have some on hand.

I'm planning on running 150 grain mono bullet for the wife to run in her 300 wsm. I picked up some solid nosler e-tip for now, but I'll probably end up with Barnes. The plan is h4831sc, but that might change too.

30-30 150gr and thousands of moose. Why wouldn't it work? Distance and your shooting ability are the only real factors.

I hunted one hunt in Africa with 150 gn TTSX in my 300 Wby @ 3500 fps, it was a killing SOB with outstanding penetration.........it will work just wonderful on moose in a 300 WM...........drive it as hard as you can, the faster you drive them the better they kill.
