I think the biggest problem is this is Canada. Not too many wanting to pay much of a price for a damascus barreled gun. You start getting over $1800.00 for damascus and it becomes a pretty hard sell pretty quick, unless maybe it's a Purdey or a Lang etc. Even a Parker in same condition would probably be an easier sell than the Lefever for the price. The odd person might be interested, but not many. Now if this was the US you have greatly increased your chances of a sale.

Thanks, looks like I might have to adjust the price or see if I can sell state side. I have a few nice Damascus barreled sxs that I have been thinking of selling.

A lot of guys see "Damascus" and think WALLHANGER! I have owned a couple English guns with twist barrels that were nitro proofed. Many older Damascus guns are fine with light smokeless loads providing they were quality guns when new and are in good repair e.g., tight actions and uncorroded barrels. Every firearm handling course I have ever seen waved the red flag over Damascus steel actually the quality barrels are quite strong. I tried to find out what kind of hoops you have to jump through to import an antique(pre 1898) into the U.S. and didn't have much luck but perhaps your gun was built after that. I think pre 1946 is considered a C&R (curio and relic) and doesn't have to go through a FFL but I could be mistaken.
