16 gauge- what's available?

Other than #6 and #7 1/2 birdshot, what else is available?

Does anybody still make slugs?

Buckshot?

For me, 12 gauge is too big for the partridge and rabbits I love to hunt.
.410 too small, and I never fell in love with the 20.
I have shot 16s all my life and have a natural affinity.
I would like to get a little extra versatility.

I just bought a box of 16 gauge slug from CDN tire by accident the other day.

Winchester, Federal, Remington and Kent make various loads for the 16. You can get most shot sizes in lead, steel, Bismuth and tungsten matrix also buckshot and slugs.

Keep checking at Cdn Tire, especially on the bottom shelf of their locked glass ammo cabinets. I seem to always find an odd mixture of different 16ga stuff there, no matter what Cdn Tire I visit.

I have 16ga buckshot on the shelf at the store I work in. It's winchester #1b I think, I ordered 12 ga but ended up with 16ga . Should kill a coyote either way.
