16 inch barrel on 22 magnum

I have a 13" barrel 22 WMR. It runs 40gr CCI Maxi-Mag at about 1800 fps - 75 fps slower than rated velocity. I can't compare noise to a longer barrel because I've never had a longer one 
. More than 22 LR, less than 223, is all I can really say. Accuracy is about 1.5" to 2" at 100 yards for a 10-shot group. It has vertical stringing at that distance and sometimes misfires from light primer strikes; probably related.
