Anyone shooting 165gr Hornady SST's in .308? If so, what C.O.L. are you using? Any data I can find seems to point to around 2.750" but I'm wondering if it should be 2.800"

COL depends on your gun, if you have a det. mag that could be your limiting factor if not then its 10 to 20 thou from the lands.

I think Hornady data measure seating to the cannalure.

X2 I'm shooting them in my savage 10FP and they are brutally effective. Don't load them too hot or you will get a ton of meat damage.

I use the same COL as ball ammo as I shoot mine in a number of different .308's, thus I can load for one particular rifle. This has served me very well as they are tremendously accurate, and as one person said, very destructive. They leave good wound channels.
