My brother bought one when they first came out, (blued spaghetti barrel version) and bought a few cases of ammo (one of each grain) and slapped it into a Boyds laminate thumbhole stock and scoped it.
It`s fun to shoot and seems pretty accurate ,although I did not do a hard and true test on grouping ,mostly plinking clay targets.I`m not sure if it`s because the rifle is the first generation or the rotary mag,but it have feeding issues.
I myself bought the Walking Varmiter 25 in .17 Hornet and put her in a Boyds tacktical hunter stock (or whatever it`s called) and scoped it with a Vortex. That SOB is a joy to shoot and super accurate !
I also have a .17HMR ,.17HM2 and Remington in .17 Fireball.
Yes indeed, I have a thing for those little 17 buggers ! LOL
