17 hmr. ammo

I went with the .17 hmr rather than the mach 2...what am i looking at paying for ammo and wheres the best place to get it ? Im in onterrible....

About $15.00 a box of 50 rounds.
A bit pricey but a lot of fun.

are they hard to find? Is that the best price? I guess since its a bolt it takes longer to go through 50 rounds than a repeater i guess?

13.99 for hornady 20 grain XTP. My savage seems to like it.

15$/50 is not expensive. and yes its going to take some time to run threw 50rounds with a bolt. cheap = .22 but variety is the spice of life

My local Crappy Tire stocks the federal 17 grainers for $15.99/50, the local gun shop sells hornady and CCI for about $14.50/box.

X2 for the 20 grn.. My Savage seems to like them better than the 17grn also..

Compare the HMR price to some of the premium LR ammo and the 22mag.. - pretty much in the same ballpark.
