I know the mechanics behind harmonics and barrel stiffness as it relates to accuracy in a rifle. However, with the 17 hmr and its relatively limited applications does a bull barrel really make a practical difference it accuracy ?
The reason for asking is I like the accuracy from my bull barreled savage but if I get the same accuracy out of a thinner barreled gun the lighter weight rifle would be preferable.
