.17 hmr fmj?

Don't think it exists. This is not military round, its hunting round. No point for hunting rimfire round to have non hunting slug

It sure does. I ended up with some on a major gopher shoot. I noticed the gophers weren't blowing apart. First couple I thought just a poor hit. Took a closer look at the cartridge, then the box. FMJ. I don't have the box here at my shop, but I'm thinking they were CCI.

There are actually a fair number of non military chamberings available in fmj offerings, I have a few boxes of 22 mag and 22-250 in fmj myself. Ive seen 17hmr fmj at wholesale sports and Canadian tire in the past, perhaps try there if one is nearby

Yes, we carry them - CCI 0055 - 20 grain FMJ

That's what I'm after! May I ask, who is "we", so that I might check online to try and order some?

If not, I will have to hit up canadian tire. I'd like to pick up a box or two to see how they are accuracy wise, and then get them out to maim some grouse.

(we) are Canadian Tire

It's a (core) ammo product. Of course individual stores have some latitude in what they (list), but it's an (order item) through our corporate ordering systems - nothing to "special order".

edit - the Crappy Tire product number is 175-8174-2 - can search your local store(s) online to see if they have stock, or could take it in to any store that carries ammo and ask them to order it in if they don't stock it.

An online search shows nothing in AB- I’ll pop into my local branch later today to see what they can do.

Thanks!
