I heard that Browning will be bringing out their T bolt in 17 HMR . in standard and heavy barrel what do you guys think of the T bolt and what do you think of one in 17 HMR?

The rifle is neat. But I don't like the cartridge. It takes some getting used to working the bolt. I just traded my T-bolt in .22 LR. It was a tough choice though. After another rifle found it's way in the safe, the T-bolt didn't come out too much. I figure I might as well let someone else enjoy it. But I'm more of a traditionalist. I prefer the standard bolt action rifle. If I were to increase the power of a rimfire, I'd be looking at a CZ 453 in .22 WMR.

My sister-in-law has the Browning T-bolt in 22 lr. I have commented on it in a few posts around here. It is very well made, excellent fit and finish, and accurate...under 1.5" at 100 meters. It carries a price tag for that quality. If Browning keeps good quality control in producing a 17hmr it should be a tack driver at 100 m, but for the extra cost for 17 ammo I suppose it comes down to personal preference.
