Pretty pumped. My new cz 527 varmint is on the way. Need to find rings for it. Any suggestions? Also any loads for it. I have a box of 20gr v max coming to try and have some lil gun. Will see how that works out.
Hopping for some nice tight groups.

what scope are you putting on it? I have a Vari x 3, 4.5-14x 40 and have Leupold med rings. just enough bolt clearance. I don't care for those rings but they work. I may get Warne med. rings which seem way better built but might have to shave my bolt handle. they would be a touch lower too. get a spare bolt handle for resale value (they are cheap enough), and file down the one that comes with and get the Warne med rings.

I like Talley rings, on my Cz527 rifles, I have two CZ .17 hornets and have tried several powders, CFE blackout being the best, for speed and accuracy, H4198 and N120 also very good accuracy but down 200fps,

Plenty of info in the reloading section on the .17 hornet, there is quite a few .17 hornet shooters on here, and multiple powders work well, 1680, littlegun and CFE blackout seam to produce good speeds, over the likes of h4198, 4227, N120, H110. at least that's my experience,

tons of info on Saubier for this cartridge as well,
an example thread, from my rifle.

Great thanks guys. It's going to get a bushnell tactical elite 5-15x40 that I have kicking around for now. Was going to keep my eye out for some cfe blk. It looks good on the reloading site. The local shop has some of the leapold med ring will pick up for now and see if they will work with that scope but there not cheap.
