Hi guys,
Anyone know of a good online source for reasonably priced 17 Hornet ammo or brass? I found some brass for $53 for 50 cases, but I think pre-rolled is a bit cheaper at $33 for 25 rounds then I'll keep the brass to reload.

I think it's more economical to buy factory loaded stuff and reuse the brass than to buy new brass. I bought one box of shiny new brass (I also have a .17HH), but won't do it again as long as factory loads are available. The factory stuff is so accurate that there's no downside. VMAX bullets cost upwards of $0.30 each these days and primer/powder will cost $0.10 per load. Factory loaded ammo costs roughly $1/shot, new brass costs only pennies less per. It's a no-brainer for me.

But re-reading your post, I guess I didn't really answer your question. I have only bought that one box of new brass online; apart from that I have bought every box of ammo locally. What I can say, based on my conversations with my LGS's, is that if they don't have it on hand, most of the Hornady stuff seems to be fairly easy to get if they order it for you.

Thanks for the replies guys. I had a hard time finding powder as well but north pro had the ammo for $28.99 and they had lil gun and h110 in stock so I just order 2 boxes of ammo and a pound of each powder to try and a shell holder.
