17 mach 2 barrels?

I'm getting geared up to take an ol' favourite 10/22 and breathing some new life into it.

I've got a mach 2 bolt ordered (thanks rimfiresports) and still debating on the stock. I'm thinking a Revival explorer is the ticket.

The problem I'm finding is locating a decent 17 bull barrel from someone that will ship to Canada.

Anyone know of a good source?

It's been done ton's of times.

I ended up ordering up a VQ barrel from Hawktecharms. THe bolt needs to be modified for the higher powered cartridge.

I originally ordered a VQ bolt from rimfiresports but they did not have stock.Now I'm just modifying the stock bolt to work.

Basically you need more weight and/or a stronger spring. I'm having a machine shop add a few tungsten wieghts to mine. I've also ordered up a magnum spring to help delay the blowback.

You may want to contact Hawktech about the barrels. Last time I heard they wouldn't ship barrels out of the country; but I could be wrong. Give them a call; they are good to deal with.
