question for you all,

I have a place where I can hunt gophers which in Sask a bush. which is a better caliber to use .17 Mach2 or .22 cal for shooting 100 yrds or less.

I have read that the .17 Mach2 is a flatter shooter up to 125 yrds but the ammo cost more.

I bought a mach2 just so I don't show up in the gopher patch with the same old guns year after year. A buddy grabbed a stash of ammo for me down south already. Course, I don't cry the blues when my ammo goes up to $2.00 a box........

.17 Mach 2 is the same price as my .22 WMR. That was one of the worst decisions I ever made, as some of my middle-grade WMR ammo costs the same nowadays as some 9mm UMC (the .22wmr in question does not like the cheap Wal-Mart Super-X stuff - which is only two or three bucks cheaper per box anyways). That's right, I can shoot my Beretta CX-4 Storm for the same price as my .22 mag!

I'm actually buying a .22LR in the coming month or so, just so I can buy some cheap bulk ammo. Shooting a rimfire that was costing me fifteen dollars a box was getting crazy!
