Though and opinions please about .17 Remington Fireball. I would assume it would be effective as a varmint round, but at what kind of range would it remain effective and accurate for varmints and punching paper in comparison to say .17 HMR. Also wondering about commercial availability of ammunition and components for reloading?
I find myself oddly drawn to Fireball... Maybe it's just the name. I'd probably be better off with .223 or something more common??
