where can I find different brands of 17 wsm? I can only find 2 Winchester variants locally (but haven't looked everywhere) but I heard they are prone to bad primers and split cases in savage rifles which I bought at jo brooks for a sweet deal by the way

The 17 WSM is a rimfire and has no separate primer. I have had no misfires or split cases in the 20 or 25 gr variants from Winchester that I have fired.
Have you actually tried the ammo? I don't find it particularly accurate in my Bmag but its the only game in town as far as I know.

Thanks for the reply I have yet to try the 17 wsm (most likely this weekend) just have lots of experience with 17 hmr I do know they don't have seperate primers I worded that wrong........good to hear no split casings in your Bmag maybe that is less common then some people made it out to be

may I asked how many rounds you have shot ? I have heard people say as high as 20% misfires with Winchester wsm but seems very unlikely I can post my findings for people when I shoot a box of each 20 and 25 gr hopefully this weekend
