.17 WSM hens teeth but out there

So I happened to be driving by a gun store that I haven't frequented much in the last couple years to pick up some 17 HMR which was on sale and I asked if they by chance had any 17 WSM in stock. I was expecting the usual snicker and laugh but to my surprise the guy came out of the back with a box and said they had a total of two boxes and that was it. $60 later that's right 60 bucks for two boxes I was a poorer but happy camper. According to the guy it wasn't listed online.

Hand - I looked at some sites, then ammobin. There seem to be some depending on where you live and how much you want to buy.

Cabelas has some listed last week online but it quickly sold. I stocked up last fall but i am always keeping a look out for more.

At $30.00 per box of 50 rounds, you did very well......

Our local gun stores here are $34.95 or even $40.00 per box of 22 WMR, or 17 HMR. (50 round Hornady ammo)

A guy may want to buy a 17 WSM rimfire if the asking prices stay at $30.00 per box. LOL......

Found some at auction last summer . Had a preorder for almost a year with one gun store but no luck yet. These guys buying a 21 Sharp are going to run into the same problem also.

Wow, the same store had .17hmr in bulk for $88.99/250rds so I grabbed some. After throwing in some 12g I left $360 poorer. The days of $17.99/500rds of .22lr are certainly long gone. I miss LeBaron!
