Google is your friend! Check "rimfire central" it appears to be a big mistake on Savage's part and I think it is going to ruined their reputation for building reasonably priced accurate firearms. Shoots patterns like a shotgun.
I have herd that the lack of "great accuracy" is the result of the ammo not being up to par and winchester is working on that.
Which would be a big marketing problem for both winchester and Savage.
I like the looks and features of the BMAG and for people in a rimfire only area it expands the coyote/fox opportunity.

Savage seems to be taking a LOT of the Bmags back for warranty repair. Accuracy could be attributed to both the ammo and the rifles flimsy stock. There is a guy on Rimfire Central you rechambered and NEF Sportster to 17WSM, his 100 targets lead me to believe the ammo is less of a problem than the Bmag is.
