After a lot of thinking, I visited Nordic Marksmen to look at his inventory of Anschutz Fortner rifles. I chose a model 1727 F HB G-28 Walnut .22 LR 18". A fine piece of German craftsmanship. Awesome rifle. Very happy w. the walnut stock too.
And the folks at Nordic are just great to deal with. I was pleasantly surprised how well the grip fit my hands and the balance of the rifle in standing position. And I just know it will do well in benchrest position w. Lapua ammo. Will post pic.s later on.
