I shot this on the weekend as we were suppose to be deer hunting. The sad part is I didn't have the camera up earlier. I was able to make a 1845 yard cold bore shot...SPOT ON!! This is as far as I have shot to date. The video is at 1740. I have cut out the wind and no shooting parts.

The gun is a custom 7 Rem that Ted Gilliard made for me last year. A 180gr. Berger at 2860 with a 600 yard zero. The wind was 35 km at 4-5 oclock. The last bit I was trying to show the 'Zoom Out'. Hope you can disifer where the rock was I was a little shaky from the wind.

If any one else has any pictures or video of this sort of distance please post them as I need something to compete against. You always need a line to push or a goal to reach.

Hope you enjoy. Heres the link.

The hit is hard to see you have to watch it a few times.. Oh and I forgot I am looking for someone around Medicine Hat to shoot out to this range with. Any offers. I shoot with my brother but we are still pondering how to get the 308 out there.

This would be a fun road trip from Ontario!:D We would bring AR500 plate like at least 6 some are pretty big 1/2 thick! We would be shooting two Timberwolf's and two LRT-3's by PGW would have to be late spring though.:sniper::D:D Nice shooting by the way!

Looks like a great spot. Consistently shoot a mile here in Kelowna. Would be interested in making a weekend trip if you wanted to set something up for the spring.

That's awesome!!! That looks so much further then a mile when you zoom out!!! Good work

What caliber are you shooting? I'm guessing 6.5x284 but I could be wrong.

More details please. What type of scope? How many grains of what? How many MOA over 600yd zero?? All the good stuff.

I've love to do some long range shooting, unfortunately no place like that to shoot here in Southern ON :(

very cool tho! have you tried .308 at that range?

Fun eh! I hope to do it with my 308. We will see. I have 165 moa of up on the 308.
I can't watch the video, dial-up syndrome. I'll scoot over to the library and watch it tomorrow.

It is a 7 mm Remington Mag. With a sleeved 700 action and a 29inch Gilliard barrel. A Riflebasix Trigger and a A5 McMillian, with a 20 MIN rail. The scope is a straight 16x IOR with 100 min. I was 57 moa from zero. I am pushing a 180 gr Berger at 2860. Backed with some Retumbo in Hornady cases with match primers.

I will post a pic as soon as I can remeber my Photobucket password!!

Thanks for the details. I think there are a number of guys on this forum that think that unless they have a 338LM they're wasting their time trying to shoot a mile but that's not the case at all. I've seriously gotta start videoing some of the shooter my buddies and I are doing!! Good stuff.

Do you thinkg a trapdoor 45-70 would reach out and touch something???
Would love to shoot long distance though all my stuff has iron sights.
I like a challenge!!!!!!!
