Just putting this out there to see if anyone has had any luck shooting the 175 gr Nosler RDF in a M14 pattern rifle with a stock, 1-12 barrel? I shoot these in my match bolt gun and they're great but I know they're finnicky as my older backup rifle with a factory barrel wouldn't shoot them. As it is I have 2 loads for the M14 that shoot 1.5 moa (with 155gr Amax and 168gr BTHP) but would be nice to standardize on one bullet for .308. I'd be getting a grooved piston for the m14 if I go up to 175s.

Seat a bullets and see if it will feed from the M1A mag... RDF's tend to be pretty pointy and M1A mags are on the short side.
When I was playing with M305's, I preferred lighter bullets with the 155gr Amax my fave.

Tell me where I can get a new m14 style barrel with a 12 twist, less than $500 and I will buy one
G.I. spec barrels are 1 in 12" as are the chicom barrels on our M305s & M14S', I believe.
I hadn't thought about M14 mag length, haha. I'll mock one up and see. Got too used to Accurate mags with no binder. I have a good load with 155 Amaxs, I'm just being a cheap ass as I get the 175 RDF blems for cheap and with their high BC, according to JBM I'll be able to reach out to 850-900 yards with the internal travel of my scope (same as with the Amax load), unlike with my current load with Hornady 168gr HPBTs that I have to max out elevation and hold over 0.5 mil to be on at 830 yards...
